These local chapters are later to form the West Africa Regional group of the IMGA.

IMGA expects each local chapter to present research proposals for possible assistance. Research on geophagia, among others, is being considered by the chapter.

Chapter Activities for December 2008 Newsletter:

Mr. Arhin is to make a submission to the IMGA headquarters on behalf of the Ghana chapter. The submission is to be included in December 2008 newsletter.

IMGA Dues:

For any local chapter of IMGA to be inaugurated, five (5) or more members are required. The members must be paying their dues regularly. The annual due per member is ten United States dollars (US$10.00). However, from January 2009, the annual due per member is to change to ten euro (€10.00). Members may either offer to pay due annually or pay a lump sum of forty United States dollars (US$40.00) to cover a five-year period. The latter option translates to a ten United States dollars (US$10.00) discount.

Members unanimously agreed to pay forty United States dollars (US$40.00) each to cover a five-year period from 2008 to 2012. Members unanimously agreed to pay fifty Ghana cedis (GH₵50.00) each, to cover five-year dues and bank charges. The money is to be collected by Mr. Oyelude and given to Mr. Arhin. Mr. Arhin would ensure the transfer of the dues to the headquarters of IMGA.
