Annual Dues structure for IMGA (Individuals)

All dues shall be payed directly to IMGA.

Annual dues for full members in all regions except Africa are 40 USD
Exceptions: full time students pay 20 USD per year

Africa:
Annual dues 20 USD full members, full time students 10 USD

Members paying dues for four (4) years in advance receive the fifth (5th) year of membership for free.

If you pay your dues before April 1, 2008 you may pay according to the older system (this actually only accounts for the present categories 2-4). SEE BELOW!

Honorary Members shall pay no dues

The Regional Divisions shall abide by the dues structure approved by the Executive Committee of IMGA.

The basic dues sharing arrangements will be as follows: The divisions will receive from, or can pay through IMGA 30% of the dues payed to IMGA from members in the respective regional division.

Members of IMGA are entitled to receive the following:
 Biannual newsletters on a CD
 Membership lists
 Monthly newsletters by e-mail
 30% discount on the price of the book "Essentials of Medical Geology"
 A password to allow access to the Member section of the Association website www.medicalgeology.org.
 Compilations of published articles at the end of each year.
 Reduced fees for conferences to attend conferences and workshops sponsored by IMGA.
 Possibilities to receive travel support to attend relevant conferences and workshops

Annual Dues structure for IMGA (Corporate members and associations)

Annual dues for Corporate Members:

 Nonprofit organizations: 200 USD

 Annual dues for commercial profit organizations 500 USD

 Annual dues for international and national societies:

 Annual dues for countries on an official basis

For this the above organizations are entitled to receive the following:
 Free registration at sponsored conferences for 1 representative.
 Newsletter
 Biannual newsletters on a CD
 Membership lists
 Monthly newsletters by e-mail
 A password to allow access to the Member section of the Association website www.medicalgeology.org.
 Compilations of published articles at the end of each year.
 A 10% individual discount for people who work for organisations that belong to the Association

Conferences and courses

Medical Geology Conferences and short courses presented by IMGA Members may be required to contribute a portion of the registration fees to the IMGA. The IMGA Executive Committee shall decide the appropriate contribution.

OLD DUES SYSTEM:

Annual Dues structure for IMGA (Individuals)

The annual dues for members in the Regional Divisions are recommended to follow the UN system of economic categories for countries. However, if the Regional Division Council decides to use any other structure for dues this shall be approved by the Excecutive Committee of IMGA.

The four (4) current economic categories as per the UN list of member states is as follows (lists attached).

If the individual is student, professor, or scientist from a developing country and is pursuing studies (or conducting research) in a developed country, he or she should be paying dues from his place of origin. On the other hand, if the individual is originally from a developing country but is a permanent resident working in a developed country he or she should be paying dues applicable to that developed country.

The Regional Divisions shall abide by the dues structure approved by the Executive Committee of IMGA. Division members of category 1 states pay directly to the Association. Regional Division members of category 2-3-4 states may pay dues directly to the Regional Division Executive. IMGA and each Regional Division shall agree upon an equitable sharing of revenues. The basic dues sharing arrangements will be as follows:
 The first $250 of annual dues from Regional Division Members shall belong to the Regional Division (category 1-2 states)
 The next $250 shall be divided equally between the IMGA and the Division.
 For dues income over $500, seventy-five (75) percent shall go to IMGA, and twenty-five (25) percent shall go to the Regional Division.
