David is a biologist working in environmental health since completing a PhD in 1999. His main area of research interest is the health effects of anthropogenic ecosystem disruption. Some of his current research projects include the study of mosquitoes in New Zealand and their public health risks, the development of environmental health indicators for informing government policy, microbial and chemical forensics and biosecurity, and envirogenomics (understanding the relationship between environmental exposures, genomic variation and human disease). The latter research area includes the investigation of environmental exposure to trace elements and prostate cancer. David is interested in developing Medical Geology Indicators and would like to hear from other researchers interested in this area.
